<p>Edith Earline Patterson, 93, formerly of Lee Avenue, New Castle passed away on May 27, 2020 at her residence in Sebring, Florida.</p><p><br></p><p>Born in New Castle on November 10, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Thomas B. Moore, Sr. and Sara Mosley Moore.</p><p><br></p><p>On March 7, 1953 she married her beloved husband, Clarence E. Patterson. He preceded her in death on November 14, 1999.</p><p><br></p><p>Edith was very active at St. John United Methodist Church in Sebring, Florida. She had been a long-time standing member of the church and also served as their pianist and organist and enjoyed singing in their choir.</p><p><br></p><p>Edith is survived by her two step-daughters, Jean Gilliland and Margaret George, several step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her parents and husband, Edith was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas B. Moore, Jr. and Walter Moore, and her sisters, Frances Shaffer, Gertrude Casto and Ethel Doyle.</p><p><br></p><p>The service will be private.</p><p><br></p><p>Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ed &amp; Don DeCarbo Funeral Home, 3000 Wilmington Road.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>

Born in New Castle on November 10, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Thomas B. Moore, Sr. and Sara Mosley Moore.
