<p>Donald E. Primavere, 66, of Edinburg, PA, passed away the morning of September 12, 2017 at UPMC Jameson Hospital. Born on June 3, 1951 in New Castle, he was the son of the late George Sr. and Audrey Hammers Primavere. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, the former Bonnie Zarella, whom he married on May 19, 1970. </p><p><br></p><p>Donald had worked as a steelworker for J&amp;L Steel and Youngstown Sheet and Tube. He then worked for Stambaugh-Thompson Warehouse in Austintown, OH. He was a member of Christ the King Parish. Donald was an avid sports fan, especially for the Steelers, Pirates, and Penguins. A true outdoorsman and nature lover, he liked hunting, fishing, gardening, and canning, especially enjoying being around flowers, birds, and animals. Donald cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. </p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by his children, Shawn Primavere of Edinburg, PA and Chris Primavere and wife Shannon of Erie, PA, and grandchildren, Jordan Hall, Samantha Primavere, and Sophia Primavere. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George (Chip) Primavere Jr. </p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held Thursday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 3000 Wilmington Rd. Services will be conducted Friday at 11:00am at the funeral home, officiated by Reverend Andrew Shaffer, hospice chaplain.</p>
