<p>Eric Lang Sr., 70, of Youngstown, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017.</p><p>Born Aug. 1, 1947, in New Castle, Pa.., he was the son of the late George and Kathryn Elizabeth (Paulini) Lang Sr.</p><p><br></p><p>He graduated from New Castle High School and upon graduation, enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he honorably served during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he married the love of his life, Sandy Galano, on Nov. 24, 1972, and then began working at Dean Foods as driver and salesman, until he became disabled in 1997.</p><p><br></p><p>Eric enjoyed the camaraderie of several fraternal organizations and enjoyed playing euchre. He was especially proud to be a 32-degree Mason. Eric was a lifetime member of the Eintracht Singing Society. Eric will be remembered for his sense of humor and love of music and singing.</p><p><br></p><p>He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sandy; sons, Eric Jr. (Michelle) and their daughter Olivia, of Chicago and Tom and his children Jenna and Jacob, of Youngstown; sisters, Shelli (Ray) Mundziak of Kansas and Andrea (Mike) Wollam of Cortland, Ohio; a brother, George (Dyanne) Lang of California; a sister-in-law, Cynthia Stackhouse of Canfield; and niece, Alexis Stackhouse Stultz of Colorado.</p><p><br></p><p>Friends will be received at the Lane Funeral Home, Austintown chapel, on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.; a Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. and again on Saturday, Oct. 21, 2017, at the DeCarbo Funeral Home, 3000 Wilmington Road, New Castle, beginning at 11 a.m. until the service which will begin at 1 p.m., with his niece's husband, Scott Stultz officiating. Per Eric's request, his beloved Eintracht Singers will perform a couple selections and military honors will follow.</p><p><br></p><p>Besides his parents, Eric was preceded in death by his daughter Valmarie Lang; brother, Edward Lang; and brother-in-law, Robert Stackhouse.</p><p><br></p><p>The family would like to thank the staff at The Arbors at Streetsboro for the care they so lovingly gave Eric. </p>
