<p>Paul J. Lalama, 63, of 308 N. Ashland Ave., passed away the afternoon of December 6 at his residence.</p><p><br></p><p>Mr Lalama was born in New Castle on January 25, 1946, a son of the late Giuseppe J. and Bambina DeChellis Lalama.</p><p><br></p><p> Paul is a United States Army veteran. Mr Lalama retired as a pipe fitter from the General Motors Plant in Lordstown, Ohio. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Church. Paul was an avid hunter who also enjoyed fishing. He was a member of VFW Post 315 and the American Legion Post 343.</p><p><br></p><p>Mr Lalama is survived by one daughter, Tina Brendel and husband Eric of Fairhaven, N.J; one brother, Peter J. Lalama and wife Josephine of New Castle; four sisters, Mary R. Lalama, Louise L. Hiler and husband Harry, Elvera M. Henderson and husband Don and Pauline A. Lalama, all of New Castle; three grandchildren, Ana Louise, Geoffrey and Catherine Brendel and several nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his parents, Mr Lalama is preceded in death by three sisters, Emma Sidorchuk, Amelia Vasilycsik, an infant sister, Mary M Lalama,two brothers, Edward C. Lalama, John J. Lalama and two nephews, Harry Hiler and Leonard Sidorchuk.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation is Tuesday, December 8, 5PM to 8PM at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory 941 S. Mill St. </p><p><br></p><p>The New Castle Area Honor Guard will perform a military service on Wednesday morning at 9:15AM at the funeral home. A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30AM for a mass of christian burial at St. Vincent DePaul Church at 10AM. Fr. Steven Palsa will officiate. </p><p><br></p><p>Burial will take place in St. Lucy Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
