Agnes L. Cappabianco Obituary

Agnes L. Cappabianco, 94, of New Castle passed away the morning of Monday, March 19, 2018, at the Jameson Care Center.


Born in New Castle on Jan. 30, 1924, Agnes was a daughter of the late Philip and Mary Juliano Pegnato. Preceding her in death on April 21, 2004, was her loving and devoted husband of more than 57 years, Mark A. Cappabianco Sr. whom she married on Sept. 14, 1946.


Agnes was a member of St. Vitus Church.


In her earlier years, she had worked at St. Francis Hospital. She enjoyed playing bingo and visiting casinos. Agnes was a homemaker, who doted on her family. She enjoyed cooking and cherished the times she spent surrounded by her family. Agnes was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who cherished the times spent with her grandchildren.


She is survived by her four children, Mark Cappabianco Jr. of Boardman, Ohio, and Philip Cappabianco and his wife, Marcie, John Cappabianco and his wife, Joanna, and David Cappabianco and his wife, Kim, all of New Castle; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.


In addition to her parents and husband, Agnes was preceded by her four brothers, Frank, Jules, Tony and John Pegnato; two sisters, Christine Bosco and Clara Pascarella; her daughter-in-law, Carmie Cappabianco; and her granddaughter, Alison Rae Cappabianco.


Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Ed and Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.


A procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday for St. Vitus Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m.


Burial will take place at St. Vitus Cemetery.
