Norma Jean Miscimarra 88, of Boardman, Ohio and a native of New Castle, PA passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Assumption Village in North Lima, Ohio. She was born on August 2, 1930 in New Castle, Pennsylvania to Domenic and Madeline Vecchio and was the oldest of eight children. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Norma was a loving wife, mother and homemaker and excelledd at cooking and baking.

She was known to keep friends and family laughing with her quick wit, sense of humor, and entertaining stories. She was well versed in many subjects and loved reading, shelling, bird-watching, trivia, and traveling to visit her loved ones across the country. Annual trips to Sanibel and Captiva Islands were one of her families favorite destinations.

She is survived by her children, Fred Miscimarra and wife Anita of Las Vegas, NV, Carole Abraham and husband Ahron of Kingston, PA, Jonathan Miscimarra of New Castle, PA and David Miscimarra of Boardman, OH; four grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, Jonathan, and Elizabeth, three great-grandsons, Wes, James and Milo, and seven siblings, Daniel, Ron, Richard, Domenic, Rita, Cheri, and Maryann.

Visitation will be on Friday 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Mill St.

A procession will leave the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Vitus Church at 10:00 a.m. Father Victor Molka, Jr. will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Vitus Cemetery.
