Arlene (Massina) Gryshuk, 99, of Berwick, PA, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2019 at the home of her son, Alan, and daughter-in-law, Debbie Gryshuk in East Greenville, PA, where she had resided since October of 2018. She was the widow of John Gryshuk, who passed in 2014. Born in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Laura (Fegley) Massina. Arlene worked right after high school in a local weaving mill and then moved on to a secretarial position in the local American Car and Foundry industry. She concluded her working life as a clerk in the pharmacy of the local Rea and Derick drug store, where she enjoyed interacting with her customers. She developed many friendships throughout the years. Arlene will forever be cherished and remembered as a loving, caring, and doting mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Surviving are two sons: Alan and his wife Debbie, and John and his wife Mary; her beloved grandchildren: Dr. Amy Gryshuk-Lee, Katie Robbins, Megan Gryshuk, and John Gryshuk; and her four great-grandchildren: Ella Lee, Lucas Lee, Olivia Robbins, and Ian Gryshuk; and her brother Joseph and his wife Dawn Massina. She was predeceased by her brothers: Wayne Massina and Alex Massina. A memorial service and burial will be announced at a later date.
