Judith Urffer Obituary

Judith Urffer, 80, of Boyertown passed away on January 22, 2020 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Denny Urffer. Born in Lansdale, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Dorothy (Stoneback) Boorse. Judy hated her name “Judith”, “Judy”, and especially “Eleanor”; but she loved being Mom, Grams, and Mimi. Her family was her focus and she was the glue for all of them no matter where they lived. Everyone kept in touch with her. Her grandchildren from Colorado came every summer for several weeks to visit, and still come even at the ages of 22-31 years. Her local grandchildren stop by regularly, too. Her best friends, though, were her great grandchildren. They visited at least 3 times a week to play, and would never want to go home. Judy loved to sing, sometimes even doing so before getting out of bed in the morning. She loved to laugh and to do things to make others laugh, too. She was a strong and opinionated person, and everyone was aware of where she stood on every matter. She loved to garden and decorate. Her favorite “colors” were black and gray. She also loved vacationing at Cape May Point, especially with her extended family. Surviving with her husband, are children: Philip Wojtowicz, of Colorado; Benjamin Wojtowicz, and his companion Barbara, of Florida; Kimberley, wife of Terry Hoch, of Pennsylvania; and Stacey Wojtowicz, of Colorado; grandchildren: Megan, wife of Cory Emery, of Pennsylvania; and Jessica, wife of Scott Oetting, Katelin Wojtowicz, and Alysia Martin, all of Colorado; great-grandchildren: Harper and Graysyn Emery, both of Pennsylvania; and Miller Oetting, of Colorado; siblings: Gail Worman, of Colorado; Sonia Williamson, Jerry Boorse, and Daryll Boorse, all of Pennsylvania; and Gwain Boorse, of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by siblings: Robert, Donald, and Bonnie. A Celebration of Her Life will be held privately. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Veterans Brotherhood, www.veteransbrotherhood.vet or the Lehigh Valley Hospice.
