Mary Ann Meck

Mary Ann Meck, 84, of Perkiomenville, passed away on March 13, 2018. She was the beloved wife of George E. Meck. They celebrated 43 years of marriage in February. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late William and Bertha (Hansberry) Strohl. She served her country honorably in the Navy. Later, she worked as a secretary for the former Swann Oil Company until retiring in 1979. She was a very active member of Pennsburg United Church of Christ where she was a member and past president of the consistory and a former member of choir, Ladies Aid and the quilters. She was also a member of Freeland Chapter #323 of the Eastern Star in Collegeville, where she was a past Worthy Matron. She was also a member of the Lehigh Consistory Ladies Auxiliary where she was past president from 1988 – 1990. She was also a Red Hat Lady in Collegeville. Along with her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Cynthia, wife of William Palan of Philadelphia; grandchildren, Courtney, wife of Rob Paczewski, and Tyler and Katelyn Palan; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings William T. Strohl Jeannette Leitgeb. All are invited to a viewing from 6 – 8 PM on Sunday at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main St. Pennsburg, and from 10 – 11 AM on Monday at Pennsburg UCC, 775 Main St., Pennsburg, PA 18073. A church service will follow the viewing and she will be interred in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the church in her memory.
