Peter DeAngelis

Peter N. DeAngelis A generous man with a good heart, Pete was the type to give you the shirt off his back. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic and dedication to his family. Pete was born and raised in the 21st & Lambert Neighborhood of South Philadelphia. He, along with his parents, owned Penguin Cleaners, Collingswood, NJ for many years. Pete and his family moved to North Wildwood and founded DeAngelis Italian Market and La Cucina DeAngelis, which he operated for 28 years. He enjoyed genealogy on Ancestry, collecting baseball cards, boating, the beach, his chopper, painting, model trains, painting and cheering on the Eagles. Of course, spending time with his family, always had a special place in Pete’s heart. He is the beloved husband of 32 years to Celeste C. (nee Gennarelli); devoted father of George, Peter (Stephanie), Louis and Gabriella Blair (Robert); loving son of Marie (nee Corabi) and the late Louis DeAngelis; loving grandfather of 9 and great-grandfather of 1. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Wed.Eve. Jan. 3, 7-9 PM and Funeral Thurs. 8:30-9:15 AM in the Vincent C. Gangemi Funeral Home, 2232-40 S. Broad St., (at Wolf), Phila., PA. Funeral Mass Thurs. 10 AM in St. Monica RC Church, 17th & Ritner Sts., Phila, PA Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Cape Regional Medical Center, 2 Stone Harbor Blvd., Cape May Court House, NJ 08210
