James Savero

James Benjamin Savero, 37, of Scranton, passed away unexpectedly at his home Wednesday, June 6, 2018. Born in Scranton, he was the son of Thomas F. and Linda Brace Savero. James was a graduate of Scranton High School class of 1999. An avid animal lover, he was never far from his beloved dog, Bronson. Jimmy loved spending time in the kitchen, preparing new recipes for friends and family. Jimmy was very family oriented and devoted to his mother and father. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and was employed by the University of Scranton. Jimmy’s family would like to thank all his friends for being a part of his life, and please pray for his family during this difficult time. Also surviving are a brother, T.J. Savero and wife, Jessica, and their son, Dominic who was also Jimmy’s godson; brother, Christopher Savero, New York; brother, Jonathan Savero, Scranton. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 7 p.m. in the Solfanelli-Fiorillo Funeral Home Inc., 1030 N. Main Ave., Scranton. Friends and family may pay their respects Monday in the funeral home from 5 p.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jimmy’s name to Friends With Paws, 1443 Sanderson Ave., Scranton, PA 18508.
