Arthur G. Besore, 98, of Shippensburg passed away Friday, January 17, 2020 in the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born November 13, 1921 in Oak Grove, Letterkenny Township, Franklin County, PA. Arthur was a son of the late George Washington and Elsie E. Gayman Besore. He retired from Smith Implements in Mercersburg. Arthur was a WWII United States Army Air Force Veteran. He was a member of the American Legion in Mercersburg and the Shippensburg VFW. Arthur is survived by his wife, Della R. Duvall Besore, five children, Donald Besore, James Besore, Patricia (Philip) Mellott and Bridget (Roger) Crouse all of St. Thomas and Kathy (Brian) Hardy-Mikell of Oklahoma, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Robert and George Besore, two step-sons, Faron Lee and Eddie Hardy and two brothers, Norman and Gerald Besore.
