Danny R. Swartz, 47, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at his home. Born October 18, 1969 in Carlisle, he is survived by his father, Samuel H. Swartz and his wife Janet and his mother, Sharon C. Brookens Robinson and her companion, Darryl William, all of Shippensburg. Danny was a 1988 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School where he was a very accomplished wrestler. He was of the Catholic Faith. Danny worked as a mechanic for Carlisle Tire and Wheel along with various other mechanical positions. He was a life member of the Minnequa Social Club in Shippensburg where he also worked as a bar tender. He was an avid NASCAR Fan and Philadelphia Fan. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Nicholas D. Swartz, California; one brother, David E. (companion Beth) Swartz, Waynesboro; Half-sister, Sandra Swartz-Davis, Shippensburg; maternal grandmother, Betty (husband Pascual) Rodriquez, Chambersburg; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
