Donald H. Davidson, 78, of Shippensburg, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2017 at home. He was born May 1, 1938 in Newburg, PA. Donald was a son of the late Harold and Gladys Fogelsonger Davidson. He was a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church, Newburg. Donald drove truck for SKF Industries and then retired from Giant Foods. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by one son, Dale L. Davidson who died August 8, 2010. Two sisters are also deceased. He is survived by his wife, Vesta M. Franklin Davidson; one son, Deamer D. (Melody) Davidson; two daughters, Debra K. (Jay) Booz and Donna R. (Dave) Friese all of Shippensburg; eight grandchildren, Lauren, Jaclyn, Jason, Nathan, Ryan, Krista, Blake and Cole; seven great-grandchildren, Lilyana, Morgan, Madden, Jillian, Bryce, Calvin and Griffin; and one sister, Sara Myers of Chambersburg. Graveside services will be privately held in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. John A. Ile, Jr.
