Kayla Rae Goodyear, 33, of Newville, passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born Friday, August 27, 1986 in Chambersburg, she was a daughter of Peggy Ann Varner Souders, of Shippensburg, and the late Dean Alan Bowers. Kayla worked as a dispatcher for Lift Inc., and was a former employee at Essintial Enterprise Solutions. She was an avid fan of AC/DC and the Philadelphia Eagles. Kayla loved shopping, and attending her children’s activities. In addition to her mother, and step father, Dale E. Souders, she is survived by her husband of five years, Kyle Bennett Goodyear, whom she married, May 25, 2013; one son, Lucas D. Stouffer, one daughter, Leah R. Coons, both of Newville; one sister, Felicia J. Gayman, Newville; one brother, Jack D. Weaver, Carlisle; nieces, and nephews, Payton N. Durf, Cooper M. Gayman, Issabella S. Bowers, Ryan E. Weaver, and Esmae R. Weaver. A memorial service will be held Friday, September 6, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., with the Rev. Richard Reese officiating. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, in the funeral home.
