Lurea Ann ‘Rae Ann” Stake, 66, formerly of Amberson, late of Shippensburg, departed this life on the evening of Saturday, March 25, 2017, at her home. She was born on June 19, 1950, in Chambersburg, a daughter of the late Herb and Helen Barnhart Pechart. Rae Ann worked as a self-employed nurse’s aide. She was a member of the Amberson United Methodist Church. Rae Ann enjoyed antiquing, going to flea markets and yard sales, campfires with her family, and family get-togethers. She is survived by two sons, Gerald F. “J.J.” (Sharon) Stake and Dale W. (Angie) Stake, both of Spring Run; one daughter, Barbara L. (companion, Adrian Horn) Stake of Shippensburg; five grandchildren, Ashley Varner, Haile Stake, Leona Stake, Ethan Stake, and Austin Wright; one great granddaughter soon on the way, Samantha Rae; two brothers, Steve (Donna) Pechart of Dalmatia and Kirk (Sandy) Pechart of Amberson; one sister, Bonnie Ryder of Amberson; and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral and committal service will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 30, 2017 at the Amberson United Methodist Church. Pastor Phil Foster and Pastor Marlin “Butch” Neil will officiate. Viewing will be two hours prior to the service on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Amberson United Methodist Church at 18889 Amberson Road Amberson, PA 17210 or SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care and Hospice at 2700 Luther Drive Chambersburg, PA 17202.
