Malcolm Lee “Mick” Black, 72, of Orrstown, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born Monday, May 14, 1945 in Huntingdon, he was a son of the late Veryl W. and Gladys Thelma Bollinger Black. Mick was of the Methodist Faith. He was a United States Navy Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. Mick was a life member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168 Shippensburg, and a member of the Roxbury Lions Club. Mick was an avid Pittsburgh Sports Fan and loved hunting and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Fay Pauline Banco Black whom he married October 21, 1967, one son, Joel Cary (wife Beth) Black; one daughter, Misty Dawn Black, all of Shippensburg; two grandsons, Austin James Black, Shippensburg and Adam Carey Chirico, York; two brothers, Larry Black, Saxton, Tom Black, York Springs; three sisters, Carol Rodgers, Cooks, Nancy Runk, Mechanicsburg, and Wendy Black, Broad Top. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July, 11, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium with the Rev. Dale A. Detweiler officiating. Burial will be private. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. Military Honors will be conducted by the Shippensburg Veterans Council following the service in the funeral home parking lot.
