Robert Foust

Robert R. “Bob” Foust, 83, of Orrstown, departed this life on the evening of Saturday, October 7, 2017, at the Chambersburg Hospital. He was born on August 20, 1934, in Chambersburg, a son of the late Ross J. and Mary E. Holtry Foust and married Rhea R. Reineman on September 29, 1995 in Jackson Hole, WY. Bob worked as a Tunnel Guard on the PA Turnpike for twenty years, from where he retired. He also owned and operated Foust auction and tent rental for many years and was a past fire chief at the Pleasant Hall Volunteer Fire Company. He was a member of the Pleasant Hall Lutheran Church and the former Blue Mountain Saddle Club. Bob had a great love of horses, owning and riding for most of his adult life. He enjoyed annual trips to Wyoming to hunt and ride horses and crafting light fixtures from antlers, which he gave away as gifts. Bob is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Rhea; one daughter, Cheryl Runshaw of Orrstown; three sons, Tim (Tina) Dubbs of Orrstown, Matthew (Sarah) Dubbs of Shippensburg, and Robert L. (Anita) Foust of Upper Strasburg; six grandchildren, Megan, Shana, Cody, Bryce, Hayden, and Mason; three great grandchildren, Tyler Ann, Lily, and Dalton; one brother, Dale Foust of Horse Valley; three sisters, Nancy White of Pleasant Hall, Beverly Babbs of Chambersburg, and Donna Rosenberry of Shippensburg; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one grandson, Robert L. Foust, Jr., and one brother, Jack Foust. Bob’s funeral services, entrusted to the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc., Shippensburg, will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Better Days Animal Shelter.
