Susan A. Russell, 57, of 461 Hood Street, Chambersburg, died Thursday, September 22, 2011 at her home. Born May 18, 1954 in Chambersburg, she is a daughter of Grace Kyler Furry of Chambersburg and the late Robert F. Furry Sr. Susan worked in the parts department at Shively Motors. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Chambersburg. She was very involved with the Franklin County Special Olympics where she was a swimming instructor. She was also a Color Guard Instructor. In addition to her mother, she is survived by a son, Ray E. Russell Jr., Orrstown, a daughter, Hope M. Russell, Chambersburg, a granddaughter, Sydnee L. Russell, Orrstown, one sister, Teresa Bartle, Chambersburg, two brothers, John Furry, Fayetteville and Robert F. Furry Jr., Pond Bank. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray E. Russell Sr. who died January 14, 2003. Services and burial will be private.
