Charlene J Schmoke Obituary

Charlene J. Schmoke, 72, of Rochester Mills, PA, passed away at her home on Friday, February 8, 2019. Born on September 10, 1946, in Renovo, PA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew K. and Stella B. Moore Schmoke. Charlene attended the Cooper High School in Kylertown, PA. She was of the Methodist Faith. She was a driver for the Cameron County Transportation. She drove the elderly to their doctor appointments and shopping. She retired at the age of 65 after many years of service. Charlene enjoyed bird watching, cooking, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, crocheting, and baking. She really liked being outdoors. In her younger years, she enjoyed hunting and fishing. She loved going to yard sales and going for rides to see the Elk. She was fond of all animals. Because her family was scattered over many miles and states, she treasured all the photos she received of the activities her children and grandchildren were in. She loved it when her family would get together for a holiday or picnic. Charlene is survived by her son, James R. Bennett, Jr and his wife, Brooke, of Keller, TX., three daughters; Lisa L. Schmoke of Spring City, PA, Tammy S. Farrell of Sarasota, FL, and Jennifer L. Henry and her husband, Chris, of Irvona, PA., nine grandchildren; Tyler M. Woods, Jessica A Watkins, Paul J. Hoover, III, Brandon M. Ailes, Jacob M. Hoover, Riley K. Bennett, Ethan J. Bennett, Dylan A. Bennett, and Emily R. Bennett, and one great grandson, Korbin Woods. Also surviving is one sister, Phoebe A. Borger of Moshannon and one brother, Jan D. Schmoke of Pottersdale, her cat, Stormy, and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by her seven brothers; James, Kline, William, Dean, Christy, Levern, and Orville, six sisters; Roberta Firestone, Genieva Hess, Violia Teets, Rose Teets, Edna Summerson, and Violet Schmoke, and by one great granddaughter, Piper Woods. Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 6-8pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Snow Shoe.
