Margaret Hall

"Margy" Hall ,92 of Snow Shoe, Pa died Thursday May 24,2012 at Centre Crest nursing home in Bellefonte. Born August 1, 1919 at Hopewell, Pa, Margy was the daughter of Reverend and Mrs. Harry Sherman. She attended schools in Glen Campbell, Austin, Snow Shoe and Emporium, where she graduated in 1938. August 15, 1941 she married Edward "Duke" Hall who died February 23, 1999. Margy was an active member of the Snow Shoe United Methodist Church until she could no longer attend. She taught Sunday school for many years. She also was a member of Centre Chapter #207 Order of Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron in 1972. Margy was known for her friendliness and humor and Mrs. "Hallmark" loved sending greeting cards on all special occasions. She especially loved children and would not let them pass by without a hug. She took more pictures than Kodak could develop and shared them with everyone. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Duke, son Jeff, whom she adored, and her brothers; Bobby, Harry, Dean and Bill Sherman and sisters; Sally Hall and Virginia Andrews. Margaret is survived by her sons Edward Hall of Bellefonte and Ken and his wife Sharon Hall of Moshannon .Two grandchildren, Karen Andrus-Smith of Snow Shoe and Stuart Hall and his wife Stephanie of Woolrich, and three great-grandchildren, Max Andrus, Wyatt Hall and Merritt Hall. Friend will be received Monday May 28th at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore Street, Snow Shoe from 6 to 8 pm. Eastern Star memorial service will start at 7:45pm. The funeral will be held Tuesday, May 29 2012, at 10am, at the Snow Shoe United Methodist Church with Pastor Catherine W. Dittman officiating. Burial will be at Askey Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Snow Shoe United Methodist Church 512 S. Moshannon Ave Snow Shoe, Pa 16874 or The Mountaintop Area Medical Center P. O. Box 398 Snow Shoe, Pa 16874.
