Bernard E. Gardner Jr., a resident of Warminster for the past year, formerly of Bensalem from 1993 to 2009, and Huntington Valley from 1965 to 1993, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at Majestic Oaks in Warminster. He was 80. Born in New York, N.Y., he was a son of the late Bernard Sr. and Lillian Gardner. Bernard was a graduate of the University of Tulsa and obtained a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering. He attended Harvard University's program for management development. He was a registered professional engineer. Bernard was a former marketing director for the American Meter Co. and was president of Hanover Investment Management Corp. Bernard is survived by a son, Emmitt, and a daughter, Miriam Lukas and her husband, Steven, all of Warrington, and three grandchildren. He also is survived by a brother, Raymond "Skippy" Gardner and a sister, Jacqueline Thomas. Services and interment will be held privately in St. Peter's Cemetery, Queenstown, Md. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation of America, Gift Processing Center, P.O. Box 749596, Los Angeles, CA 90074-9596.
