Dorothy H. Waldron of Warminster, Pa. passed away peacefully at home on
Saturday, April 14, 2012, with her husband and family members at her
side.
Dorothy is survived by husband of 30 years, Michael Waldron; her sister,
Yvonne Neithercott; her sons, Peter Graber of Philadelphia and Steven
Graber of California; her step-children, Vicky Gordon, Catherine Shaw,
Bill Waldron, Joe Waldron, Trish Kingsbauer and Mary Tennison; her
grandchildren: Tom Walters, Mark Graber, Tina Ruble, Chris Waldron,
Maggie, Katie, Vickie and Debbie Waldron, Clayton Tennison, Madison and
Griffin Kingsbauer, and great-grandchildren, Cloe and Josiah Ruble and
Eleanor Graber; and her nieces, Debbie Curlett and Joyce Wolfe, as well
as great-nieces and nephews.
Dorothy, originally of the Germantown section of Philadelphia graduated
with the class of 1950 from Germantown High School.
She worked as a draftsman and cartographer for her professional career,
ending with Patton Maps, Inc. of Doylestown, Pa.
She was active in the Scottish American Society and an active member of
The Presbyterian Church of Warminster where she belonged to the sewing
circle and helped create many intricate articles for the church.
Dorothy was an avid crafts person winning many blue ribbons for crochet,
knitting and particularly quilting at the Grange and County Fairs.
Recently Dorothy had been creating homemade quilts for returning wounded
veterans through the Veteran's Administration, donating six separate
quilts.
Dorothy also worked through her medical care with the Doylestown Health
Foundation as a pioneer for medical treatments, helping advance the care
of future patients for heart treatments.
Funeral services will held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 20 2012 at
Warminster Presbyterian Church, 500 Madison Avenue, Warminster.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening April 19th from 6 to 8
p.m. at The Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington and also
from 10 am to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
Interment will follow the funeral services at Union Cemetery in
Richboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the
Doylestown Hospital Hospice, c/o development office, 595 W. State St.,
Doylestown PA 18901.
