Eric Gotwols

Eric Gotwols, a 13-year resident of Plumsteadville, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009, after a tragic accident. He was 21. Born in Huntingdon Valley, Eric was the son of Gary and Anne Gotwols of Plumsteadville. Eric was a 2005 graduate of Central Bucks West High School. He attended Millersville University, where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity, and also attended Bucks County Community College. He was employed at the Doylestown Market Place as well as Block Buster Video in Doylestown. Eric had a passion for baseball. Before he could walk, he could throw a baseball. He started playing baseball with Deep Run Little League and played varsity for Central Bucks West High School. He later played with Plumstead American Legion and Plumstead Senior Connie Mack. Baseball meant everything to him. In addition to his parents, Eric is survived by his paternal grandparents, Alfred W. and Margaret E. Gotwols of Hatboro, and a sister, Katherine Gotwols of Plumsteadville. He also is survived by aunts, uncles and cousins. Eric's funeral Mass will be celebrated at noon Monday, Aug. 3, at St. John the Baptist Church, 4050 Durham Road, Ottsville. Family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Shelly Funeral Home, Easton and Keller's Church roads, Plumsteadville. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
