Ernest Walker Obituary

Sweetly and tenderly Jesus called Ernest Michael Walker (Walt) of Richboro home on June 5, 2016. He passed peacefully while surrounded by loved ones. Walt led a life of simplicity for all to emulate. He was born and raised in Philadelphia. He married the woman of his dreams Joan Owens on February 4, 1967 and started a family. He worked as a welder at Morrissey's Quarry with great pride; however, his most treasured job was being the best husband and father his family could ever imagine. Walt was the beloved husband of Joan M. (Owens) Walker; loving father of Anita (Rose McKevitt), Ernie (Melanie), Maryann Walker-Taylor (Ken Taylor). He was cherished as a loving Grandpa (Poppy) by his 2 grandchildren Brendan and Elizabeth. Walt cared deeply for his dog Foxy. He was also survived by his sister Genevieve Atkinson and possibly by the sister they still search for, Carol Ann Walker. Walt’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Thursday June 9, 2010 at St. Joseph’s Catholic 1795 Columbia Ave. Warrington. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday at Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington, PA, and on Thursday at the Church from 10:00am until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Parkinson's Foundation.
