Florence Dobron Obituary

Florence M. Feiler Dobron of Point Pleasant died on Tuesday, August 27, 2013, at her home with her husband, William. She was 83 years old. Born in Lumberville, Flossy was the daughter of the late Frank and Edith (Updegrove) Feiler. Florence was one of six children. She grew up in Lumberville, living in the "white row" of houses on River Road. Their family was surrounded by many of the famous Bucks County artists; and Flossy and her siblings posed for famous portraits by the late Faye and Ben Badura. Flossy walked to the Greenhill Schoolhouse, and graduated from New Hope Solebury High School in 1948. Flossy married the love of her life, Will Dobron, Sr. in 1954 and moved "up the road" to Point Pleasant. They celebrated 59 years of marriage in June. Flossy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and extended family. She was an excellent cook and baker and enjoyed gardening. She was a contributing member of Point Pleasant Fire Company, working many fundraising events and supporting her family's involvement. Most of all she loved her husband, her children and her grandchildren. Flossy is survived by Charmaine Rufh and her husband, Robert of Port Jervis, NY; Tammy Stever and her husband, Brent of Bedminster; and William Dobron, Jr. and his wife Maryfrances, (Sharp) of Point Pleasant. She is survived by 3 grandchildren, William Dobron, III; Matthew Dobron, and Abigail Stever. She is also survived by 2 sisters, Evelyn Hefflefinger, of Carlisle and Edith Baker of Rosemont, NJ, and sister-in-laws, Helen Dobron and Marguerite Feiler. She was preceded in death by her sisters Blanche Mayer, Marion Dobron and a brother Frank Feiler. Alzheimer's Disease robbed Flossy of her memories, but it could not steal our memories of her. A celebration of her Life will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory can be made to the Point Pleasant Fire Company PO Box 1 Pt. Pleasant PA., 18950 or the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter 399 Market St. Suite 102 Philadelphia PA., 19106.
