Frances Tyson Obituary

Frances M. Tyson, formerly of Quakertown, Perkasie and Florida, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the Neshaminy Manor. She was 94. Frances was the loving wife of the late David D. Tyson. Born in Fairview, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Arlington and Stella Myers. Frances was an active member of Grace Gospel Chapel, Plumsteadville, and enjoyed playing the organ. As an artist, Frances spent much time painting scenes of Bucks County and also enjoyed porcelain painting. A working woman her entire life, Frances enjoyed bookkeeping and along with her husband, was the owner and operator of Tyson Music Store, Doylestown. She was also a member of the Doylestown Christian Woman’s club. Frances is survived by a daughter Ann Tyson Ciliberto, a son, David Gregg Tyson, 2 brothers, Ralph and Robert Myers and a sister Jean Overholt. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Shawna, Autumn and Mia and 2 great grandchildren, Alexis Rose and Cassius. Frances’s funeral service will be 11:00 am, Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Grace Gospel Chapel, 5582 Easton Road, Plumsteadville, where the family will receive friends 10:00 until the time of service. Interment will follow in the Fountainville Chapel Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to A Woman’s Place, PO Box 299, Doylestown, PA 18901
