Frances V. Platt died on Tuesday, October 1, 2013 at her home in the Lamplighter Village community of Warrington, PA. She was 82 years old. Fran was the daughter of the late Charles A. Vastola, and Genevieve (Coscia) Vastola of Waterbury, CT, where she lived for most of her life. Her husband was Frederick L. Platt, who died earlier this year, just prior to their 62nd wedding anniversary. Before moving to Pennsylvania, Fred and Fran were residents of Cheshire, CT for several years, Fran is survived by her two children Karen Naim, and her husband Gideon of Ambler, PA, and Kevin Platt and his wife Carrie-Anne of Ellicott City, MD. She also leaves five grandchildren who were the light of her life, Lili, Michael and Jordan Naim, and Alyssa and Sophia Platt. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Fran’s memorial service at 11:30 am, Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Shelly Funeral Home in Warrington, PA, where the family will receive friends from 10:30 until the time of the service. Internment of both Fran and her husband Fred will be held in Waterbury, CT.
