John Rossetti

John J. Rossetti, a resident of Buckingham Springs since 2004, formerly of Clermont, N.J., and a longtime resident of Warrington, passed away Friday, June 24, 2011, at the Neshaminy Manor. He was 87 John was the loving husband for 66 years of Georgette Rossetti. Born in Hazelton, Pa., John was a son of the late Joseph and Susan Rossetti. John was an Honorary Lifetime Member of the Warrington Fire Co. He was Warrington's first fire marshall and served as chief of the company. He also served as assistant chief at the Willow Grove Naval Air Station and the Johnsville Naval Air Station. John later served as fire chief at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center, Cape May, N.J. John was proud to have served with the U.S. Army during World War II. While stationed in Europe, John met his wife, Georgette, in Belgium in 1944 and married in 1945. John was an avid deep sea fisherman and hunter. In addition to his wife, John is survived by a son, John J. Rossetti Jr. of Galeton, Pa.; and a daughter, Vivian Bell and her husband, Robert, of Warrington; three grandchildren, Robert and Michael Bell and John J. Rossetti III; and two great-grandchildren, Brendan and Allison. He was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Connie Rossetti. Services and interment in Whitemarsh Memorial Park will be held privately. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Neshaminy Manor, 1660 Easton Rd, Warrington PA 18976.
