Joseph Schulingkamp

Joseph Schulingkamp, a resident of Warminster since 1974, passed away suddenly Saturday, July 17, 2010, at his residence. He was 72. He was the loving husband of the late Elizabeth A. Schulingkamp. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Stephen and Viola Schulingkamp. Joseph was proud to have served in the U.S. Army. Joseph's life centered on his family and his work. He was currently employed as the maintenance supervisor with Luther Woods Convalescent Center, Horsham Township, where he was employed since 1994. Joseph was the loving father of three sons, Joseph and his wife, Cristina, Robert and his wife, Catherine, and Michael and his wife, Lisa; and two daughters, Denise Kemmerling and her husband, James, and Karen Stevens. He was the loving Pop-pop to his 14 grandchildren. He also is survived by two brothers, Richard and Stephen Jr.; and three sisters, Dolores Daly, Valerie (Lolly) Bigelow and Marilyn Kelly. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington. Joseph's funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, July 23 at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 625 W. Street Road, Warminster. Interment will follow in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Warrington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Abington Hospital Porter Institute for Valvular Heart Disease, 1200 Old York Road, Abington, PA 19001.
