Marijune Faye

Marijune 'June' Scott Faye, formerly of Warrington, Pa. and Tilghman Island, Md. died on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at Southampton Estates, Southampton. She was 81. click here She was the wife of the late Edwin Neff Faye. They were married on April 9, 1948. She was born in Abington, Pa. She was preceded in death by her father, Herman R. Scott. She was a graduate of Abington High School in 1947 where she was known as 'Scotty, Abington's Boogie Woogie Queen!' Music filled June's early years. She sang and played with several bands for fun and professionally in the 40's. After marrying Ed in 1948, June worked as a hosiery model before beginning a family. When the children entered school, she worked in a number of business and financial secretary roles until retirement. June, Ed and the family spent years enjoying cross country camping and travel. She loved entertaining and 'lighting the grill' in the summers with family and friends. During retirement years on Tighlman Island, Md., June supported Ed in the work of the Coast Guard Aux. and served in her local resident's association. Once June became a resident of Southampton Estates, she became very active in the work of the Estate's volunteers. She is survived by her beloved mother, Mary Y. Scott, Southampton, Pa.; her children: David S. Faye of Doylestown, Pa., and Rev. Susan Faye Wonderland of Middletown, N.Y.; grandchildren: Margaret E. Faye of Glenburnie, Md., Kyra L. Wonderland of San Francisco, Calif., Kenneth Ryan Wonderland of Middletown, N.Y. and Jayme F. Wonderland of Syracuse, N.Y. Services will be on Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 1 p.m. at Southampton Estates Auditorium, 238 Street Road, Southampton, PA 18966. Reception will follow in the Private Dining Room. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
