Mary Kondyra Obituary

Mary Kondyra, a resident of Warminster since 1980, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011, at Abington Hospital. She was 87. Mary was the wife of the late Michael Kondyra. She was born in Philadelphia and grew up on the family farm in Chalfont, Bucks County. She was a daughter of the late Stephen and Helen Konsowitz. Mary is survived by a son, Stephen and his wife, Aileen of Solebury, a daughter, Genya Hopf and her husband, Richard of Pipersville, five grandchildren, two step grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and six step great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Anna McCourt and Tina Yunger. Mary was preceded in death by two brothers, Stephen and John Konsowitz. Mary's funeral service will be 10 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2011, at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington. Family will receive family and friends from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home Interment will be in St. Mary Ukrainian Cemetery and be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1545 Easton Road, Warrington, PA 18976.
