Mildred Marren

Mildred “Millie” Marren, a resident of Jamison, passed away peacefully at her home of 50 years, on Monday, February 15, 2016. She was 91. She was the loving wife of the late William H. Marren, Sr. Born in the Olney section of Philadelphia, Millie was a daughter of the late William and Margaret Hurford. Millie was an avid reader especially fond of mystery novels and puzzle solving. She enjoyed going to Atlantic City casinos. She was a lifetime member of the Warwick Fire Company Auxiliary. She was a deeply faithful and active member of St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church for more than 50 years. Most of all, she loved taking care of her family. Millie is survived by 2 daughters, Margaret Pressler of Furlong and Barbara Gow of Warrington, a son Robert Marren of Jamison and a daughter in law Deborah Marren. She is also survived by her grandchildren, William Marren (Mary), Thomas and David Gow, Kevin Dougherty, Stephanie Marren and Kenneth and Daniel Marren and a great grandchild Rylan Marren. In addition to her husband, Millie was preceded in death by a son William H. Marren, Jr., a son in law Edward G. “Bud” Pressler and siblings Edith, William, Elizabeth and Samuel. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to The Doylestown Hospital Visiting Nurses and Hospice for their wonderful care, love & support during Mildred's illness. You are truly angels. Millie’s funeral mass will be 11:00 am Monday, February 22, 2016 at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church, 1410 Almshouse Rd, Jamison where the family will receive friends after 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to "For the Love of Grace Foundation" which spreads love, faith and hope to children & families facing rare & life threatening diseases.
