Richard Hartz, a resident of Hartsville, PA, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2013. He was 50. He was the husband of Patricia (Nee Bunting) Hartz, to whom he was married for 18 years. Rich and Patti have 3 girls, Alyssa 16, Ashley 13, and Alexis 8. They lived in Hartsville for the last 12 years. Rich earned his bachelor’s degree from East Stroudsburg University and his masters from Rider University. He was a director of human resources for Colonial School District and was a board member. Rich had coached numerous soccer teams for his daughters. Also, he supported his daughters in their many activities including dance. Rich enjoyed the outdoors and enjoyed sharing that experience with his family. Many memories were made during the time they spent together. In addition to his wife and children Rich is survived by his parents; Robert and Marianna Hartz, his sister; Michelle Malocu, and his brothers; Robert Jr., and Ronald Hartz. He is also survived by many extended family members. Rich's funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, September 24, at Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington. Family will receive friends from 12:30 to until the time of service at the Funeral Home.
