Richard Johnson Obituary

Richard W. Johnson passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Doylestown Hospital. Born on May 30, 1923 in Easton PA, he was 86. He was the husband of Teresa Labate Johnson. He attended the University of Maryland where he was a varsity football player. Richard was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer. He was a former Scoutmaster in Hartsville, and a former baseball and football coach with the Warrington Athletic Association. Active in the Neshaminy Warwick Presbyterian Church he formerly was its softball team captain for several years. In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, Richard (Aesun) and Michael (Gabrielle) Johnson, one daughter, Karen (Douglas) Bingler, 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and one brother William. Memorial service will be Monday, July 20th, 11:00 a.m. at the Neshaminy Warwick Presbyterian Church, 1401 Meetinghouse Road (at Bristol Road), Hartsville. Friends will be received from 10:30 a.m. at church. If desired, memorials may be sent to the Bux-Mont Oncology Center, Doylestown Hospital, 595 W. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
