Richard Saveriano Obituary

Richard A. Saveriano, a resident of Furlong passed away on Wednesday November 22, 2017, at Doylestown Hospital. He was 74. Richard was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY., and was the son of the late Steven & Carmella Saveriano. Richard had married Juliana (D’Eredita) Saveriano, and had shared 49 years of marriage. Together they began raising their family on Long Island, NY and then relocated to Furlong, PA. Richard had retired after many years of service at Unisys Corporation as a Procurement manager. Richard was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Brother; a member of the Knights of Columbus; he was an avid reader and enjoyed working in his yard and cooking. Richard was active in his church and coaching his children in soccer and basketball in their youth. He was a lifelong NY Giants fan and very proud of his Brooklyn roots and Italian heritage. In addition to his wife Juliana, he is survived by his children Diana Jordan (Michael), Melissa Conway, and Christopher Saveriano (Stephanie). Richard was the brother of Grace Polo (Ronald). He was the grandfather of Sophia, John, and Joseph Saveriano, Madison and Mia Jordan, and Dylan Conway. He is also survived by his mother-in –law Mary D’Eredita and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Richard’s Funeral Mass will be held Thursday November 30, 2017, at 11:00am at St. Cyril of Jerusalem Church 1410 Almshouse Rd, Jamison, PA. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00am until the time of Mass. The interment will be held private at a later date.
