ROY KERSHAW

Roy Kershaw, a resident of Center Square Towers since July, and a 10-year resident of North Carolina, and formerly spent most of his life in the Doylestown area, died Thursday, Feb. 12, 2009, at his residence. He was 79. Born in Plumsteadville, he was a son of the late Samuel and Mary Kershaw. Roy was a co-owner of Kershaw and Fritz Goodyear in Doylestown until 1987. Roy enjoyed playing golf and sailing. Roy is survived by three sons, Roy and his wife, Kim, of Chalfont, James and his wife, Elizabeth, of Perkasie, and Edward and his wife, Valerie, of Raleigh, N.C. He also is survived by seven grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley, Hannah, Jared, Stephanie, Kevin and Samuel. Roy's memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington, where family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
