Sallie K. Emery, a resident of Furlong since 1979, passed away on August 8 at her home. She was 72. Sallie was the loving wife of Bob Emery. Born in Media, she was a daughter of Thurston (Punk) and Sarah (Sally) Knight. Sallie enjoyed teaching health and physical education and began her Bucks County career with the Council Rock School District at Richboro Middle School. She finished her career teaching at Central Bucks High School East. When not teaching, besides her children and grand child, Sallie enjoyed tennis and sailing and she loved to travel. In addition to her husband, Sallie is survived by a son Bryan (Jessica Drozd) and a daughter Renee Vaughn (Douglas) and a grandson Nathaniel. She is also survived by a brother Donald. Sallie was preceded in death by a brother David. A memorial service celebrating Sallie’s life will be held 11:00 am , Friday ,August 11, 2017 at the Covenant Church, 4000 Route 202, Doylestown, PA 18902.
