S. Kelly Abbott of Warminster, died Monday January 25, 2016. He was 58. Born in Doylestown, P.A., Kelly was a lifelong resident of Bucks County. He lived in Solebury Township until graduating from New Hope Solebury High School in 1975. Kelly was the son of the late Neil Abbott and the late Rita Abbott (Voorhees). He is survived by his son, Shane K. Abbott Jr. His is the brother of Michael Abbott and wife, Susie Sablan, of Bellville Il and Fort Myers, FL, Timothy Abbott of Solebury Township, Patricia Abbott of Plymouth Meeting, PA, and, Dion Abbott of Maui, Hawaii. His sister, Kathleen Abbott, preceded him in death. Kelly is survived by his fiancée, Christine Hanington, of Princeton Junction, NJ. Kelly was the president of Abbott Mechanical Services Inc., since its inception in 1994. Gifted at problem solving, he became the go-to-guy for many of the trades. Whenever they needed assistance, he was always available to neighbors, friends, and family. Prior to starting up Abbott Mechanical Services Inc. Kelly was involved in various interesting careers in theater, rock ‘n roll, and health food. As a young adult, he managed New Hope’s historic mule barge ride. He cared deeply for the mules. Since then he has always had a dog. In the recent past, he and his dog, Patrick, a Pitbull mix, enjoyed going to the Warminster Bark Park together.
