Shannon Angel Mathers, of Warrington PA, passed away at the age of 21 from a tragic accident that took place in State College on Friday, May 20, 2016. Shannon was the loving daughter of William and Patricia Mathers and sister to Sarah Mathers. She was a 2013 graduate of CB South. There she participated in Symphonic Band and Choir. Shannon played basketball and softball for WWAA and CYO. She was currently a student at Penn State University where she volunteered as an EMT with Centre LifeLink EMS and worked at Bradley's Restaurant in addition to the Mount Nittany Medical Center. Shannon was previously employed as a server at Ann’s Choice and was awarded a scholarship. In addition to her parents and sister, Shannon is survived by her paternal grandmother Anne Baker and maternal grandparents Thomas and Patricia Holmes. She is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to Shannon’s funeral mass 11:00 am, Friday, May 27, 2016 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave, Warrington. The family will receive friends Thursday, 5:00-8:00 pm at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Road, Warrington and 10:00-11:00 am Friday at the church. Interment will follow mass in Lawnview Cemetery.
