Shirley L. Arena, a 47-year resident of Warrington passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at the Abington Hospice, Warminster. She was 83. Shirley was the loving wife of the late Frank S. Arena. Born in Atlantic City, N.J., Shirley was a daughter of the late Albert and Anna Loder. She was a devoted wife and mother and loved the opportunity she had to provide loving care to her grandchildren. Her family was the center of her life. She was an active parishioner of St. Robert Bellarmine Church and enjoyed volunteering for church activities. She was also a member of St. Robert's EPs. Shirley is survived by two daughters, Nancy Gogal (Mike) and Mary Anne Bell (Bruce), and four grandchildren, Kaela, Nick, Christian and Rose. She was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Loder, and a sister, Lois Jones. Shirley's funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24 at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 856 Euclid Ave., Warrington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 23 at the Shelly Funeral Home, 1460 Easton Rd., Warrington, and 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Abington Hospice at Warminster, 225 Newtown Road, Warminster, PA 18974
