Stephen Rowse Warrington Obituary

Stephen Rowse

On Sunday, January 17, 2016, Stephen Paul Alexander Rowse passed away at the age of 56 in Florida, surrounded by friends and teammates participating in an annual soccer tournament. Steve was a remarkable partner, friend, father, brother and son. He touched hundreds of lives in extraordinary ways, just by being himself. Born in Bristol, United Kingdom, Steve emigrated to America in 1983, first living in New Jersey, and finally settling in Doylestown, PA in 1985. A life-long Chelsea and England supporter, Steve adored playing and watching soccer, as well as playing pool, table tennis and volleyball. He loved sharing and making music with others. Steve recently retired after 30 years as a Broker Executive at AmeriHealth (Independence Blue Cross). Steve was a loving and devoted father to his two daughters, Isobel Rowse (14), and Isla Rowse (13) and was extremely proud of them. He loved his daughters dearly. All through his life, Steve sought to uplift people and create harmony, whether in family, work or social circles. His magnetic charisma, optimism, loyalty, kindness and passion for life drew people toward him. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by so many around the world. He was a tournament level player and played his last game in Florida the day before he died. He sent a message that day to his dad: “Drew 2-2, we were down 2 nil to West Ham. Gotta say I am pleased how I played. Next game tomorrow at 9:30” Steve is survived by his daughters Isobel and Isla Rowse, partner Brandy Alexander, father and stepmother Bill and Linda Rowse, mother and stepfather Moya and Peter Trussler, Aunt Veronica and Uncle Guy, brother Jeff Rowse, sisters Louise Massie, Jennifer Chanowich, Jessica Heinzmann, and brothers Simon and Barry Trussler. We love you Steve.
