Susan (Steininger) Henderson of Buckingham Valley Nursing Center passed away Friday, July 8, 2011, at her residence. She was 88. She was the wife of 70 years of Frank Henderson Sr. Born in Southampton, she was the daughter of Elwood Steininger and Marian (Bockius) Steininger. She was a graduate of Hatboro High School Sue was a homemaker and mother. She enjoyed sewing and doing volunteer work at Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church. In addition to husband, she is survived by her daughters, Patricia Henry (Glenn) of Washington Boro, Pa., and Janet Helsel (James) of Jamison, and her son, Frank Henderson Jr. (Diane) of Coopersburg; seven grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Sue's funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, at Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church, 1401 Meetinghouse Road, Hartsville, PA 18974, where the family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Interment immediately following the service at Neshaminy-Warwick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or the Memorial Fund at Neshaminy-Warwick Presbyterian Church at the above address.
