Twyla Lane

Twyla L. Lane, an eight-year resident of Luther Woods Convalescent Center, died Monday, Aug. 3, 2009. She was 79. She was the wife of the late Avon L. Lane. She had been a resident of Warrington for 33 years and was formerly of Fairmont, Minn. Twyla was the daughter of Bill and Bertha Johnson, residents of Delavan, Minn. Twyla graduated from Delavan High School and attended the Minnesota School of Business, where she graduated with honors. She worked as a legal secretary for several years prior to relocating to the east coast. Twyla became a homemaker and a member of Neshaminy Warwick Presbyterian Church in Warwick. She was actively involved with the Warrington Athletic Association, the Country Gentleman Barber Shoppers and following and participating in her children's childhood activities. Twyla is survived by her son, Devin Lane of Willow Grove, and her daughter, Diane Lane of Milwaukee, Wis. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, in Neshaminy Warwick Presbyterian Church, 1401 Meetinghouse Road, Hartsville. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Neshaminy Warwick Presbyterian Church, 1401 Meetinghouse Road, Warminster, PA 18974 or to the Abington Hospice, 2510 Maryland Road, Suite 250, Willow Grove, PA 19090.
