Valentina F. (Tyszka) Mangapit died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, a few weeks before her 90th birthday. She was the wife of the late Benny R. Mangapit. They had been married for 65 years. She was a resident of Warrington since 1970 and was born in Greenfield, Mass., the daughter of the late Joseph Tyszke and Stella Serowik Tyszka. Valentina worked outside the home for much of her life and retired from Thomas & Betts at the age of 67. She and her husband Benny spent much of their retirement time at their place on the Jersey shore. Valentina is survived by her sons, Joseph of Dolan Springs, Ariz., Douglas and wife, Judith, of Pipersville; her daughter, Florence Mangapit of Warrington; two sisters, Theresa Quillard of Massachusetts and Dorothy Wojtkowski of Florida; four grandchildren and their spouses, Michael McCarthy (Angela), Anthony Mangapit (Leslie), Laura Stankiewicz (Michael), Kathryn Mangapit; and four great-grandchildren, David and Matthew Mangapit, Michael Connor and Patricia McCarthy. A private viewing will be held for the family and interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville. The family will announce a memorial Mass at a later date.
