William McDonald

William C. McDonald died Monday, January 18, 2016, at Doylestown Hospital. He was 81. Bill was a resident of Doylestown and formerly resided in Warminster. Bill was the son of the late James H. and Anne F. McDonald and the husband of the late Marilyn A. McDonald. Bill was a graduate of North Catholic High School, Class of 1952. Bill had worked for over 20 years with the Bucks County Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc in Doylestown. He also served on the board of Aldie Counseling Center and The Council of Southeast PA., both in Doylestown. Bill dedicated over 25 years to mentoring those in the recovering community and touched countless lives along his journey. Bill is the father of Denise Parella (Jonathan), Diane M. (Carlos Lombrana), Michele L. (Christopher Shelton) and William J. McDonald (Eileen). Bill was the brother of Kathleen Goldsmith (John) and Francis McDonald (Willie Bea). Bill is also survived by his 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Bill’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 22, 2016, 11:00am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Doylestown. The family will receive friends from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at the Shelly Funeral Home 1460 Easton Rd., Warrington, PA., and on Friday at the Church from 10:00am until the time of Mass.
