Donna Green

Donna R. (Alvarez) Green, 76, of Seekonk (formerly of East Providence) passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully while surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Rhode Island Hospital. Born in Providence RI, she was the daughter of the late Marion E. (Doyle) Oliver and Don Mario Alvarez. Donna enjoyed a career spanning more than 40 years in banking and customer service until retiring from Bank Rhode Island located in Cranston. She loved the Lord and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Seekonk where she sang in the choir for many years. She also held a deep love for her family, friends and pets. Donna was an extremely loving, kind, generous, talented and creative person who's passions included helping and caring for others, music, nature, wildlife and travel. Ms. Green is survived by sister and best friend Susie (Susan) Oliver of Seekonk with whom she shared her home and was primary caregiver. She is also survived by her sister Deborah Cipalone and her husband Gregory of East Providence, her brother; Richard Oliver and his wife Cynthia of Riverside, as well as many nieces, nephews, great and grand nieces and nephews and her beloved cats Beauty and Houdini. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers; Joseph and George Oliver, her sister, Tina Oliver and step-father Joseph Oliver Sr. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 984 Taunton Ave, Seekonk, MA.
