Warren - Patricia A. (Alves) Bettencourt of Warren, died Wednesday September 18, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Manor in Bristol. She was the beloved wife of the late Arthur Bettencourt. Pat and Arthur enjoyed a fulfilling 38 years together. Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late August R. Alves Jr. and Jacqueline C. (Blouin) Medeiros. She was a longtime resident of Warren, Bristol and East Providence. Mrs. Bettencourt worked as an Accounting Reconciliation Coordinator for Samsonite before retiring. She also had worked for 18 years at the former American Universal Insurance Company. She enjoyed other positions in Accounts Payable and as a Full Charge Bookkeeper. Pat was a loving and caring person who was devoted to her family including her extended family. She leaves sisters, Linda Mae Moniz and husband Frank, of Warren, Donna Lee Standley and her husband Steve, of Warren, and her brother, August R. Alves II and wife Deborah of Bristol. Nieces, Dawne Marie (Michael) Cayer, Kara Beth (Eric) Terra, Nephews, Michael August Alves, Francis Anthony (Mercedes) Moniz, Joshua Paul Landskroner. Her funeral will be held, MONDAY, September 23, 2019 at 8:30am from SMITH FUNERAL & MEMORIAL SERVICES, 8 Schoolhouse Road, Warren, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Mary of the Bay Church, 645 Main St. Warren. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery,550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday September 23rd from 8:30-9:30 am.
