Mary Hebert

Mary L. (Hanrahan) Hebert, 83, passed away on May 21, 2018 at the Westerly Health Center. Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late John and Marion Hanrahan. Mary dedicated her life to her loving family and friends. She was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church and she loved going to Foxwoods Casino and enjoyed playing the slot machines. Mary was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years Joseph W. Hebert. She was also predeceased by her daughter Denise Startz; her brother John Hanrahan; and sister Catherine Turano. Mary will be sadly missed but never forgotten by her daughter Karen and son-in-law Stanley Brennan; son Stephen and daughter-in-law Linda Hebert; son-in-law Walter Startz; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Westerly Health Center. A special thanks goes out to Rosa, Jeanette and Gina. Respectfully, as was Mary’s wish, there are no visiting hours. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am on Thursday, May 24 at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly. Burial will follow at St. Michael Cemetery, Pawcatuck. In lieu of flowers her family asks that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in Mary’s memory.
