Everett Post Obituary

Everett C. Post, 73, of Providence, passed away unexpectedly at Rhode Island Hospital on September 11th, 2019. He was a son of the late Everett and Esther (Phelps) Post. He was the beloved spouse of Barbara Bass and is survived by his sons, Mathew Bass of Providence, Raymond Bass of East Providence and Kevin Moniz, also of Providence. He was survived by one daughter, Diana Bass. One brother, Richard Post and was predeceased by his son Jason Bass and two brothers, Dennis and Keith Post. He is survived by his nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren along with many friends and relatives by whom he will be sorely missed. Skippy, as he was affectionately known, was a kind and caring man who was generous of heart and soul. He cared for and was helpful to all who knew him. Before retiring he worked in the jewelry business and was a proprietor for many years. Skippy was always quick to lend a loving and helping hand to his children and grandchildren. He was a tech guy who loved to fix things and operated his own tech repairs business out of his home after retiring. He liked listening to his CB radio and was known by his handle “TV Tech”. He loved all things regarding UFO’s and Godzilla. He often had a witty comeback and he truly enjoyed making others laugh. He enjoyed watching wrestling, He loved the flag and eagles, the Patriots but, most of all, he loved spending time with his family. Service for Everett (Skippy), to which friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend will be held in the Berarducci Funeral Home, 26 Grove St. on Sunday form 5-7pm with burial in North Burial Ground Cemetery. Funeral will be at 8:45 at the funeral home with burial at 10am.
